- I run a near identical configuration and normally have no problems.

- I did however have a difficult time getting the beta6 of netscape from
- the netscape ftp sites. This was a rather large file (over 2 meg) and
- the download would start out fine and then slow down and die after
- about a meg or so. I finally switched to a less busy mirror site and
- the file downloaded just fine (same phone connection to my local host).

- I wonder if RAS has some sort of timeout settings that get invoked when
- using a busy site (large files would cause a timeout?).

- I actually run 3 separate machines with three Sportsters ranging from about
- 2 years old to about 8 months old (different S/W supervisor dates). They
- all work about the same for the sites I connect to. I have never seen the
- dreaded "sprial death" that has been widely reporded for older Sportsters.
